Post subject:  Dragoncon 2011: Legacy event schedule.
Since I'm trying to figure out how to staff a fanclub table over at Scifihero.net, I figured I'd post this up here as well.

Are there any specific "Aliens Legacy" events people want to partake in?

I'm listing some possible options as well. Nobody is required to do anything of course. :)

This is an all-hands BSG shoot, so if you have friends with costumes, feel free to invite them!
They will not need to join the Quorum or sign up beforehand. We will be doing large group shots
as well photo sub-sets with different costume groups.

I'm avoiding the issues with the ex by staying away from SciFi Hero events, that's the only reason I have not signed up for the SFH table

Please add the (now annual) UKCM colony sweep from 2pm onwards on Sunday! After last years success this will involve the "sweeping" of all the bars on and off the complex, although to be honest we only made it to three last year, finished at 5am and it did result in the Hyatt having to completely rebuild the bar area for this year... but hay ho!

On a positive note we started with 4 marines and an Alien and ended up with about 100 people all in costume from every film franchise going... so we will call that a sucsess... AND THERE WAS CAKE! :D

Seconded with the UKCM sweep - that was a big highlight for me; filling my bladder then photowhoring towards the bathroom taking about 40 minutes and then getting back ready to start filling again!

Wasn't there some swanky D*Con party that we needed to bring smart outfits for?

Happy New Dragon Con Year!!!

Lets face it, we ALL spend a whole year planning for Dragon Con. That Monday morning as we all trudge off to the airport or drive home, we are already planning what to wear and do next year. For Dragon Con attendees, Dragon Con Thursday night is our "New Year" for the con.
How about we do something crazy, it is DC after all! Thursday night, at 11:30, lets all meet in the Marriott Pulse Lounge Loft area dressed to the nines (or Caprica Sixes) and count down our new year in style. Some bubbly champagne like drink, noise makers, hats, tiaras - go all out! At 11:59 we can start the countdown. Lets see if we can get the whole bar into it too, how long will it take people to realize there is a group of super well dressed folks counting down to midnight. Think vintage Hollywood New Years party with gorgeous gowns and rhinestone jewelry and men in tuxes or suits.
RSVP if you are in, this way I have an idea of how many people are coming - bring guests to

What kind of smart outfits are you guys wearing? Anyone doing the tux?

Thanks Dom! Getting our schedule on and getting all of us together is sometimes like herding cats... :mrgreen:

I started a project last year and didn't get it finished- All those of us to took pics during the photostory last year, do you still have them?

I believe Tony was to receive them and we could start editing them. (please correct me if I'm wrong, two moves in 6 months, which was 3 moves in 10 months actually gets me fuzzy memory!)

I think I also volunteered Russ to do some special effects once we got the pics in order...

I thought that hijacking this thread would be the best way to try and get that project moving again! :mrgreen:

I still have all the pics my wife took from the photostory last DCon. Ready anytime you need 'em, bro!

Regarding Legacy events, it'll be extremely helpful to have a complete schedule of all major planned USCM activities and events. I'd also like to see detailed schedules for Thu., Fri., and Sun. :) I don't want to miss out on anything this year! :mrgreen:

I think the Colonial Fleet has some "dressed to the 9's" fancy party of some sort.

Is anyone bringing a video camera to tape the parade or colony sweep? I can bring mine, but it
would be nice to have a second for a different POV.

Been meaning to have a practice with it, but haven't had the opportunity yet, so will have a play over the weekend so I know (a bit more) of what I'm doing. :)
