Can I just say, I saw that video before reading this on here, and I honestly thought it was fine.

Nothing embarrassing, you didn’t look like a bunch of out of control drunks making fools of yourselves or anything.
I just saw a group of cool guys having a right good laugh and really good time.

Colonial Marines, 1880's, there is more than one type "Colonial" Marine in the universe.
but we are loosley based our attempt on the USCM.

Jay has a big gun(smart gun) unfinished (of course) as is his headset
you can't really see my weapon, uses a Thompson as a base, not quite a pulse rifle but you would get the idea
we did not get the armor or shoulder lamps finished. When that is done you may or may not get it, but we only had so much time. We hope to have more people and more stuff finished for Farpoint in February.

So for what we intended to do for this event - FAIL
but what we got finished seemed to go over well, we decided that someone needed to do military in the Steampunk area, and I always loved Space:1889

Abe met with them in the Hyatt at about 1am one night and didn't recognise them. I told them to go find the fan-table the next morning - they seemed to be surprised that they weren't the only Marines at D*Con!
