As for the parade- if Rex doesn't take the reigns, I'm sure someone else here can do it. It really takes very little effort and there is no limit to spots (in other words, the parade can be as big as it gets, there is no ceiling to the number of participants- so you don't have to worry about us "not getting a spot fast enough"). There is only a sign up deadline which is usually in the first few days of August. Plenty of time.

This green-horn Marine is just about ready to ship out, and my inaugural drop will be at DC! I've never been there before but have wanted to go for years. Vacation time, finances, costume variety, and the stars have all finally aligned to make it happen this year. My Marine outfit is almost ready - the only things I'm still needing are boots (ordered), BDU belt (ordered), and PR (looking). As soon as I have those first items in I'll post up some pics. Thankfully I've still got some time to figure out what to do about the rifle.

I'm definitely stoked for the con! Can't wait to meet a bunch of you guys & gals in person. I was hoping that Kevin would be among them, but that's not to be this year. :( Hopefully I'll get the chance in '12...before the world ends.
