Since I'm making a 'registration recon' early Thurs, I'd like an idea of people showing up that day. This could save me a lot of time and trips to the Sheraton.
Anyone showing up on Thurs (or earlier), please sound off here and let me know your predicted time of arrival. I'll prolly make myself available at a rally point (Hyatt bar perhaps) to consolidate badge pick-up requests, assuming the line at registration is a horror. Thanks!

This is for pre-reg. However, if you want to roll the dice and register on site, thats cool.
This year there is a new registration system (computerized), so I am not sure if I will be able to do anything to expedite getting badges. I will be at registration early to see if its possible. If so, I will do my best to assist you guys in getting badges. But again, there is a chance I won't be able to do squat to help anyone. I have no idea how the new system is set up, thats why I'm doing an early recon Thurs morning.

Oh, and shame on you for not calling me last year when you got there. Would of saved you a long wait!

they all have barcodes on them now so you take your ticket up they then scan and print your badge right then and there , hopefully this will go smoothly

Yup, that's the 'theory'. But this is the first year its being done, so expect hiccups. They've had this system for years at GenCon and I've heard that registration STILL takes hours. So, hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

Ok, we're down to the wire here. Con is upon us. Here is my last entry regarding this subect.
Thanks for the arrival info folks! That gives me an idea what to expect when I get there. I'll be arriving at the Marriott Weds night approx. 2200, (thats 10pm for you civilians). I will do my best to fly on an earlier standby flight. So I might get there earlier. If all goes well, I may arrive before 6pm.

Once I'm checked in, I'll find our 'rally-point'. I want to get an idea of how many people will want badge pick-up IF I can do it. I'm heading to registration 0930 Thurs morning. Hope to have info a few hours later.

My flight drops in at 15:55, and after finding my bags, I would probably be walking out of the building around 16:10~16:15 to be picked up. Greg is going to pick me up which if he's waiting on the spot, puts us at the hotel around 16:35~16:45 at the earliest, depending SNAFUs and on local traffic.
