Our annual SciFiHero dinner for DragonCon 2009 has been planned! Details are as follows:

Location: Barleys Sports Bar & Lounge – 338 Peachtree Street, Atlanta, GA 30338. As last year, SciFiHero will have the top floor for an all-ages welcome private dinner in a non-smoking atmosphere.

Date and Time: Sunday, September 6, 2009 from 7pm – 9pm

Cost: $40 per person and includes:
• One of FIVE meal options (See below.)
• Soda, tea, water (Cash bar will be available.)
• Dessert
• EXCLUSIVE SciFiHero dinner guest Colin "Major Davis" Cunningham, plus other guests as they confirm.
• Auction, door prizes, and other surprises.
• Fun and Merriment Galore!

Dinner Choices:
Option A: Surf and Turf – Grilled 6oz New York strip steak, accompanied by your choice of grilled or fried shrimp, garlic mashed potatoes or fries, and sautéed spinach (Please specify fried or grilled shrimp and side when ordering.)
Option B: Barley’s Special – Grilled salmon with steamed broccoli and choice of Alfredo Pasta or Rice Pilaf (Can substitute Chicken – please specify preference and side when ordering.)
Option C: Fish & Chips – Fresh Whiting fried golden brown, seasoned with lemon pepper and served with fries, cole slaw, and tartar sauce
Option D: Smothered Chicken – Fried or grilled breast of chicken smothered in brown gravy, onions and peppers, served with wild rice and sautéed green beans (Please specify fried or grilled chicken when ordering.)
Option E: Vegetable Lasagna with side salad

PLEASE NOTE: This years dinner will be limited to 100 people PERIOD - this includes Guests of Honor such as Michael Hogan. Bearing this in mind and due to the setup this year, numbers and dish choices must be finalized with the restaurant by the end of August. Therefore, pre-registration will ONLY run through August 15, 2009. Pre-registration will only be open to 75 people!!! A limited number of tickets will be available AT the convention with a SELECT number of meal options...what we have is what we have.

If you wish to attend but are unable to pay until during DragonCon, please let me know and we will see what we can do. The deposit was made when the reservation was made, and the event has to be paid in full a week BEFORE the event.

On-site registration will be LIMITED, so get those RSVP’s in ASAP!! When using PayPal, please send money to sfhnet@gmail.com and please include the following with your reservation:
• SFH Member Name
• Number of People Attending
• Meal Choice for EACH PERSON

Just thought I'd open this up to the members here.

Last year saw visits from some stars of Stargate Atlantis and Battlestar Galactica as well.

Would ab-so-lute-ly LOVE to go, but cash is in such short supply, being outa work, cannot go.
