Sorry for posting this on here but I have spent a good hour googling trying to fix this....basically my niece has been on my laptop today and has somehow managed to disable the little grey bar (not the taskbar) that runs along the bottom of the screen. This bar only appears when using internet explorer and has a zoom in/out feature at the bottom right corner. Sorry I don't know the correct name for the bar and it's not important but it's really bugging me!!! where has it gone? I suspect its a simple case of a button press to get it back. Any help would be great! I feel bad bout posting this on here as this isn't a computer help site but I really have tried for over an hour to find a solution online and have found nothing.

It's the status bar in IE. Go to the IE window and either select the "View" menu or the "Tools" button to the top rightish of the window, go to "Toolbars" and then select "Status bar".
