The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Here's a thread to show off all those awesome christmas gifts everyone got!
I got mine a little early and found out my brother had put on layaway a Bulgarian Makarov as we were at the shooting range today.
He surprised me on the bus home saying "I thought you'd like to have that makarov you were looking at, so as you were shooting I went up and put the gun on layaway"
My brother, so awesome...
pics will follow later!

That's my plan. xP
It even came with the original red star grip! So as soon as I get the firearm, I'm going to find someone to do a resin copy of it! :D

I think this thread is liable to explode with the amount of awesome I got from Mandy!

Red Dwarf in your pocket key chain
Red Dwarf Tshirt
Hello Kitty Colonial Marine Tshirt
AK round ice cube tray
The Back to the Future trilogy [Ive not seen it]
A Sonic Grenade [Airsofters beware]
12 Guage Shot glasses
Family guy mug and bottle opener
Red contact lenses [poor Jake]

All of which are awesome enough, but as a combined birthday / christmas, i got a Land of the Dead script signed by George Romero o.O

Words. Cannot Express. The Awesome! Should have sent a poet!

Carlsberg don't do girlfriends, but if they did, they'd be Mandy. Thankyou baby. Love you! XxX

Goddamn contact lenses.

My godmother really went overboard, I got:

Movie Maniacs 7 Hicks.
Kick Ass graphic Novel
Aliens Omnibus 2-8 [got 1 last christmas]
Gattaca on DVD
a few Rage against the machine t-shirts.

My sister got me the Marvel Annual 2011 [bizarrely] and some He Man pants [win.]
Mum got me some clothes, a copy of the Alien Quadrilogy [didn't have a real copy.] a few obscure books i'll trawl through on my journey home, 15 pounds Itunes voucher, some teenage mutant ninja turtle pyjama bottoms and ghostbuster pants - and a few bits on Steam.

Round that off with the X-men trilogy I got from G, and it was a pretty bountiful Christmas. I feel very spoilt.

I got:

The Serenity Atlas of the 'Verse (very awesome gift indeed!)
A copy of "Naked Heat", by famed crime writer Richard Castle
A "Buy More" work style polo shirt, nametag lanyard, and coffee mug.

Why yes, I do enjoy real items from fictional universes... why do you ask?

I was practically the Santa for my family this year, but I did get some thoughtful things. My mother had woven up a hat and scarf which happens to have a very interesting pattern, which seems to be almost like light blue arctic camouflage. My stepfather had given me an assortment of posters he had kept including Jane's Addiction, Pink Floyd, and Grateful Dead. I got a couple of calenders and a planner, but I'm leaning towards using the planner for college and the calendars to help me keep tabs on Dragon*Con coming up. To top it all of, I got two 10-buck cards to Borders and one 25-buck card to an AMC theatre. This year, I was more like Santa in a way because I wanted to help my family out with some gift cards. The problem was that last year I went too overboard on gifts, so I decided to put out limits on myself because of budget concerns.

Xmas this year was brought to us by ThinkGeek, I had a great time opening up and finding the following l33t loot:

» http://www.thinkgeek.com/computing/bags/c616/ leg bag for camera/gear on the road :D (sits like a Tac Bag/Holster)
» http://www.thinkgeek.com/tshirts-apparel/glennz/caf2/ low power/low coffee, need refill shirt
» http://www.thinkgeek.com/homeoffice/supplies/bb94/ Ninja Star Coat Hook
» Prepaid Cora's and Timmies cards

The best part was the nuclear powered Turkey my Bro in Law brought home from work and all the food (the dinner table turned into the buffet line and we had to sit elsewhere). In all it was a great time, even while spending 70 minutes doing dishes and cleaning :P

Haven't celebrated Christmas since my mum died five years ago, but this year I bought a few things for close friends who needed a bit more happiness in their lives. :)

Got a camera tripod and a T-shirt with a sheep on it from my sister and the Band of Brothers blu-ray boxset from my nephew.

The picture-in-picture extra commentary bits on the Band of Brothers blu-ray set is excellent.

As each episode plays, a window opens up at certain points and one or more of Easy Company talk about that specific bit of the campaign, including additional interviews with members who aren't on the DVD version.

Watched Crossroads and Bastogne late last night/early this morning and it really adds to the experience. 8)

Mine was pretty low key, which is just fine by me. Parents got me a pair of pajamas, pair of gloves, and a couple gift cards for clothing, books, and pet stuff. We've also been out shopping (two sweaters, two shirts and four pairs of tights) and will be going again which will be some underthings that are desperately needed. Younger sister got me a little purse and fare card for the Metro, though I'm not sure how much for. Hey, any little bit off my commute is a help!
