The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Awesome! Trailer is now up.

Only problem with I have with it is... it's like a recruitment video. Good fine, it works. But it shows a woman putting a diaper on a baby (granted she may be a babysitter/nanny) saying that she should join.

But according to the universe she should have already served before being allowed to reproduce right?

Reproduce legally. Could have been the wife/widow of a citizen, of course. I would also imagine that, with increasing death tolls, the laws would have been relaxed.

Those bastards. How is it SST has 3 movies and we lil Colonial Marines only have one.

It's a scam I tell ya! A god forsaken scam!

Oh well, looks like fun, and will be another DVD I buy, thank god they're not using stupid LED Moritas this time. Though, I'm confused as to why they keep changing a gun that didn't need changing.

You apparently don't need to be a citizen to reproduce because Rico's parents weren't.

Of course, they were rich so maybe money buys you exemption? :)

If you recall, the one chick at Camp Currie was going to become a citizen because it was "easier" to have kids that way. probably less paperwork.

I think it was red tape, you had to be rich to have kids or be a citizen, pretty sure they brought it up more in the book but I havent read it in ages.

Looks pretty cool, I hate to jinx it but it CANT be worse than the 2nd one...

I'm gonna see it just because regretfully i saw that pile of garbage second one. This movie looks total cheese though. Sorry Harry, not that kind of cheese.

Straight to dvd... Out of work actors... Rest of the cast is unknowns... Writer turned director (well I guess that's better than SFX guy turned director)...

How could you go wrong?

I'll watch it too. What the hell.

Man I've not even seen the second one yet. But I think that was due to the reviews I read on here ;)

I think I'll take an afternoon later in the year and watch all 3 one after the other.

I maintain that SST2 was the perfect example of a low-budget student movie with some amazing effects. SST3 has managed to reclaim some of the elements that made the first good but I honestly question if they can truly regain the feel of the original.

SST2 suffered for taking itself too seriously and shoehorning in satire. It's very possible that SST3 could swing in the exact opposite way and be too satirical, but that could just be the resulting feeling from the trailer.

It's got Jolene Blalock. She's no worse actress than Dina Meyer or Denise Richards (that'd be hard), probably no better, but at least she looks better.

I'm sold!
