Why is it after being out of the army for over 3 years, I keep having airborne dreams? I was at a local curling bonspiel this weekend here at our military garrison and ran into an old airborne buddy who is still serving. While drinking beer, we talked alot about jumping.....of course. Last night, my dream was of all about jumping. In this dream, this Friday, I was suppose to jump in Wainwright (training area) from a Herc, double door smash, full equipment at night for a winter exercise that lasts a week. Very hard core field exercise. One of my biggest concerns in my dream was enuff time to do a para refresher, never mind the jump. Also in my dream, I was saying to myself I gotta slow down. Too weird. I guess it will always be in my blood. Damm I miss it.

) I dreamed I was doing a HALO insertion onto a ship in the middle of the Pacific. Obviously I have no actual reference point to compare it to reality, but by the way I woke up absolutely drenched in sweat, it seems the sensations were pretty accurate - or at least, suitably intense!
