The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

That's exactly what's happening. :)

I'll try shorter amounts of lifts and then see what sort of gap I need between sets.

Well, a little update....
Been going with the little training regimen that Dom recommended me, and for the last two weeks my distance was only 1.01 Miles or lower... Tonight I brought it up to 2.14 miles!
Slowly but surely. :D

Ok people 3 months to dcon , time to get serious . myself i gained about 15 lbs this winter , im sitting at 194 this morning , looking to get down to 185 by dcon, very doable , the wife and i are going to start our 430 am workouts again 6 days a week , i did real good over the winter and my pushups in p90x chest and back are the best ever at 254 , im down on the pullups today in legs and back i did 122 , which is down from 150 in september , but ive got 15 extra pound to pull . anyway if you are at all on the fence about p90x , i highly recommend it , i will be doing p90x resistance workouts tuesday thursday and saturday , and running monday and friday , with plyo x thrown in on wednesday . gotta look good in my smartgunner gear :)

That's brilliant, Taj! An amazing achievement in such a short period of time. It took me nearly 18 months to lose my 40ish pounds. What's your secret?

I chose to make a lifestyle change by watching my portion control more than anything else, I also started paying attention to what I was drinking. I keep a food/activity log daily, and even tho I cannot do much in the way of working out, the weight just started coming off.

I give myself a day off a week, and don't ever TRY to figure out portions and calories during conventions.

Portion sizes have always been a problem for me. For too long I was eating to keep up with my husband who's twice the size of me.

I think the hardest change is seeing my body differently, I made myself a full length 'loincloth skirt ' for my barbarian costume, and even tho I know I have lost weight, I made it based on my self image.... *~buzzer noise~* I had to adjust it by about eight inches so it did not look bunchy.

I still see myself as I was last year

I will happily admit that my exercise regiment has become non-existant as well as my free time to even do any exercise recently.

I need to get my butt in gear and commit or I'm going to be wheeled around D*Con in an APC colored rascal

hi all i'm new here but i'd thought i'd add my opinion, please be careful all of you with exercises and diets, i used to be addicted to work outs, hated the thought of looking 'fat' i used to do loads of upper body exercises but it eventually took its toll, i split my ab muscles in 2! apparently there is a membrane down the middle and if you push it too hard you can cause it to split, now if i try a situp the intestines try pushing thru whats left of the tissue, it looks like a chest burster coming thru (kinda cool in a way!) and hurts like shit! the knock on affect is because the ab muscles arent functioning too well the other muscles have to take over which causes problems with them, example is i have to roll onto my side to sit up from prone. and here in the uk an op to correct it is considered 'cosmetic' and costs serious money and the end result means i still cant work it anymore! now i have good arms and legs etc but i have a 'belly'. i'm not complaining because it was my own fault, i didnt work out to any plan or pattern and caused the injury myself, all i'm saying is please be careful and train responsibly!!

I am down a full 60 pounds, and even tho want to lose a bit more, I am ok with the slow down.
I will never be as cut as I was before the surgery, but I WILL be the weight I was then
