The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Ladies and gents, I'm new, but I think I'm game.

Age: 27
Height: 6'2"
Weight: 299 lbs
Waist: 51'

Goal: To reduce weight to 200 lbs by reducing body fat percentage by July 2015 (long-term)
To reach 275 lbs by the end of November by reduction of body fat (short-term)

Steps I'm taking:
Caloric reduction: I currently average about 1600-1800 kcal per day. For a guy my size, all my research says I should be eating 2800 to maintain. I could use some help with finding quick, easy recipes and non-perishable snacks that I can grab anywhere and are low in sugar (it doesn't help me out and actually seems to be really counter-intuitive). I've cut out a lot of complex carbs and switched others to more healthy alternatives (whole grains and granola, etc). I've also given up fattier proteins like ground beef and pork.

Workout: Here's where I need a little help. Right now, I visit my campus's gym three times a week, early in the morning (while still getting breakfast beforehand) and do weightlifting. I need to do more cardio, but I only have so much time. Anybody got any interesting ways that they use to get a walk in (besides Ingress, my home is in a deadspot of portals)?

Well with it being January 10th, I've hit another milestone-

I've now been working out for 25 years!

This is easily the longest I've ever "stuck" with something. I've put myself through some major changes in life, had some significant highs and lows with my physique, and am still in the game! Hopefully here's to another 25 years!

Kevin
