It was an emotional and though provoking piece that made me cry and watch in amazement. I loved it.
Oh and I want to see The Batman/Superman movie...

I might not sleep for a week. What was I thinking. The original remake with Heston gave me nightmares for years, but I was much younger. I will be sleeping in the bathtub with my AR-15 and my dog at least for tonight. We will see how it goes. It is a very good movie, but it is not for everyone. Smith is brilliant. It is like a car crash that you can't look away from. This one is inside my noodle for a while (no emoticon can quite capture how I feel) Not sure what else to say, Road Warrior meets Castaway meets night of the living dead. Enjoy! |

I thought the film was brilliant. It was well directed and this is in my opinion, Will Smiths finest acting ever....but I think it would have been better if they had not called it I Am Legend and not used any of the material from Mathesons novel. For all of the fans of Richard Mathesons novel who are hoping this to be the closest adaptation yet, keep waiting. I won't give anything away, but I will say that about 10-15% of elements from the novel make it into the movie (and I might be generous there) |

Yes, if you are going to see this film. See it the way it was supposed to be seen. Be surprised. Please, nobody discuss events in the film. I made reference to the bathtub because it was the most visual image of the trailers. |

Actually good point. It is boring compared to say "resident evil". I have been reading the reviews online and a lot of people hated it. They were expecting living dead, not castaway. |

Well I didn't sleep last night. I can't believe how many bad reviews this is getting from critics and viewers. This movie really creeped me out. I am going to read the book to compare. |

I was 4 when Omega Man came out on 1971. It was probably 5 years later when I saw it on TV. I loved the movie but it really did haunt my sleep for years. I thought the infrared scoped rifle was the coolest thing ever. Wikipedia says it was a BAR, but I thought it was a garand. I bought the book last night and started reading. I get why fans of the book are disappointed. I am not sure why this story has had such a profound effect on me. It is probably the age i was when I saw it. Note to self, be careful what movies I take my 9 year old son too

I have the comic book of i am legend ,came out years ago , a friend gave it to me a christmas present last year, still not read it, so i can not compare it to the new movie.....i remember the 1970's film. the only thing now that dates it is the clothes and hair cuts so 1970's still a good film, get it on dvd and watch it, it is one of Heston's better movies......

I've seen the film "I am Legend" and thought it was fantastic. Not your typical pile of crap story line. I had hoped that the film would answer a few questions that came up while watching the film but I still thought it was good.... |

Saw it. Wow! What an incredible piece of acting! Will Smith was awesome!! Great film, had us rivited to the screen. I loved the relationship between Will and his dog. That was fantastic! Same as me and mine!
It was a BAR in Omega Man. Here's a link to a custom 1/6th version, both outfits. All the reference is there for say, a costume...

Old thread I know but I finally saw the movie. Just finished it in fact. I thought it as well written, fresh (being that the story evolved as you saw it and very little was known going on, for me anyway) and Will Smith was great and compeling. I said to Cherie it's like Cast Away, but having the dog with him really helped keep it sane. I enjoyed it and never read or bother with reviews of movies. I like what I like
