The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

At the con we're running this weekend there will be a Family Feud style game revolving around science fiction questions. Of course the game is nothing without the audience poll so if you have a moment please take this survey:

http://www.AssimilationCon.com/feud

Ang had mentioned this under the "Florida Cons" thread but obviously many folks might miss it due to that geographical fact. But just cause you can't come to the event doesn't mean you can't contribute to it...every answer helps. And, as an added bonus, I'll mention every Marine by name at my panel that votes, how's that for incentive :D I'm already pimping our Legacy site all weekend so it's not gonna be that hard but think of it like some sort of prize. A fabulous, fabulous prize. Thanks guys!

What he said!

I didn't know the Lanstrasd thing, and I put the "swishy red light" as my answer

I had to leave some blank too, some hard questions.
The toughest was worst scifi movie. Plan 9 or Battlefield earth? At least plan 9 was so bad it was funny.

Sweeping red light? Red light which acts like ping pong ball, cylon eye

Done!

Most under-rated show?

C'mon!

Space: Above and Beyond! :D

Greatest Villian? Easy...

KHAAAANNN!!!!

(I think it will be easy to pick out my submissions  ).

Oh yeah- I put Barbarella as worst Sci-Fi flick.

But there were sooooo many to choose from that came out of the 70s and early 80s...

"Battle Beyond the Stars" comes to mind.

Oh and my answer for the Ultimate/Doomsday/or Last Resort weapon...

The Doomsday Machine- from the ST TOS episode of the same name  . (I probably should have said the Genesis Device, though technically it wasn't meant to be used as a weapon.)

That was actually a fun survey!

Oh Dune.... Sorry Chris, Dune gives me hives. Although my senior year in high school I did date all my assignments as per the novel. Yeah, that got me some tail... :(

Ultimate weapon? I put THE DEATH BLOSSOM!

Most overrated show I put The 4400.

I dunno... I think Plan 9 From Outer Space is overrated as worst film ever... It always gets that vote.

Now when an 80s band names themselves after a character in a sci-fi flick (Duran Duran)... it just has to be bad.

Death Blossom! Forgot about that one!

Of course there are the obvious ones like the Death Star, but how about the "Wave Motion Gun" from Star Blazers (AKA Space Battleship Yamato)?

Or the "Omega 13" device from Galaxy Quest?

Added my 2 cents. I would love to see the final results. Chris, any chance of posting these once the con is over?

Underrated Scifi,I put Space:Above & Beyond.
Worse scifi film: Zardoz.
I`m afraid the KITT one I knew  I put the Microwave projector.
70`s Scifi show: Fantastic Journey (I loved that).
Star faring ship : Super Dimensional Fortress (SDF) ala Macross/Robotech :D

Just a sample of the one`s I entered.

I didn`t leave any blanks at all :D  Misspent childhood I reckon :D
