Sorry for the rant - I need to get this off my chest...

I while ago, I ordered a box of 25 machined ali grenades and a case of W-Y mining flares from Tommin. They arrived in country earlier in the week and, true to form, Royal Mail held on to them for several days without letting me know there would be a charge to pay. Yeah, thanks... :roll:

So I get the letter yesterday, I phone them, grit my teeth and pay the charges (£70 / $140). I was too exhausted yesterday to drive the 60-odd mile round-trip to the nearest depot to pick them up so I then arrange to pay a further £12 ($24) to have them delivered today, Saturday.

No prizes for guessing that I'm still sat here today waiting for them.

Of course - there's been strikes for weeks, but the guy was happy to take my money for guaranteed delivery today...

Guaranteed today - no delivery today!!

I'd make a quick phone call and make a hobby out of these people.

It's like insurance; happy to take the money but then when you try to claim they state they don't cover blown transaxles

Oh I know what you mean - I payed £27 to parcelforce for their 24 hour delivery service (would have cost me £8 for normal shipping!) as I needed it to arrive definitely on time! - 3 days later it finally turned up at it's destination WTF!?!??

Still chasing my money back as well - GRRRR!
