What's going on guys my name is Mario and I just joined legacy, I got here from a recommendation from Seven.
I'm an electrician by trade but have been starting to join the maker community within the last few years with that now being my main focus on life and working to eventually make that my full time job one way or another. Aliens is hands down my favorite movie and I really enjoy making projects related to the film.
I have a YouTube channel called Wired_Workshop where I make a bunch of different projects, and my lasted video was making the hand welder that is also a working butane torch. I have a back burner project making a facehugger stasis tank that's complete different from the film, currently on version 3 the first was made of a sono tube, 2nd was 3d printed and the new one will be all metal since I just learned how to weld. I'm also looking into doing animatronics for the facehugger so it can move in the water which will be totally new for me.
I didn't realize how alive the alien community was and how much more knowledge there was to learn especially on making stuff with the amount of details you guys have which I think is awesome! I don't usually build things to exact movie replica, I tend to be a bit more playful on things depending on the project and I think the hand welder I did is a good example of what I usually aim for. Having said that I look forward to doing a few prop builds in the future that are made from movie accurate parts if I get the material as well as a set of colonial marine armor.
I'm really excited to join the community and to also see what the other alien makers are working on , I would also be happy to help with any parts that need to be made or any info I can provide to others. Down bellow are some links to my Youtube channel or Instagram If anyone is interested.
