Okay, I couldn't stay away long. I'm back and the world is good again. Btw...I'll be moving to North Carolina in August, so I'll be 5 hours away from DC. W00T! Well I'm working on a bug. Here's a WIP but please note that the painting is still being done. It's not finished by any means.  And my husband is finishing up creating a costume of my mortal enemy, the Predator.  We're both going to DCon so we can kill CMs   Cheers! I'm on the fence about a 300 Spartan. I'm in shape for it now and would want to flaunt it (being the attention whore that I am  ), but I'm almost tapped out for spare cash. I haven't purchased any of the costume yet.So unless someone can give me a quick and dirty tutorial on a Spartan for less than say $150 bucks, it's not gonna happen.  But I will be bringing the following: Grayson Robin Wolverine Admiral Kirk Some G.I. Joe/Starship Troopers, uh "Hey you army guy" marine costume. Well... because flying stateside limits my weight, I may have to leave my SST armour OR my M69 flak vest behind, which would suck. However, I will definitely take USCM, some MI gear, and then a choice between Doom, Sunshine, 28 Weeks Later or Children Of Men screen used gear. God only knows what I will eventually take, though. |

Well it's a little more than just a loincloth- more like leather swimming trunks with a groin cup. However there is also the helmet, shield, sword, spear, arm gauntlets, cloak, cloak clasp/brooch, leg guards, and sandals. Actually a lot considering the costume leaves little to the imagination bodywise. Pug50 and I are working on a pair of Halo costumes. Master Chief and Elite. Another project Darren and I are investigating are Battlestar Galactica flightsuits. As for costumes for DCon...several planned, but for sure are the following: USCM Hollis from Dropzone Copernicus  Captain America- 1960's Jack Kirby version. Turned out great! Batman. Is there any doubt? Not sure if it will be only Armored Batman, or Batsuit from last year as well. Green Lantern custom On the fence- Cyclops from X1 Republic Commando Omega Squad Deathstar Construction Worker- (this one will probably make it) Several others I'm too tired to think about at the moment...too tired! I guess I've added a few since Dcon last year. It was just my TK, which is not making the trip in 07. With the Rose Parade, I've had enough of that for a little bit. This year: Newly repainted (as in right now) USCM BSG - Dress Blues BSG - Green Fatigues BSG - Kobol BDUs BSG - Viper Pilot suit ~crosses fingers that it will be done~ And a secret costume...though a few of you might have an idea. Just scored a flight helmet for Kat's Dropship Pilot outfit. w00t. Awaiting the Mk16 flight suit ( Apparently it's pretty close to the Mk11 too ) and misc other bits.

Here is my costume list: This is in no particular order, cause...I've no schedule set in stone yet. BSG - Starbuck BDUs. I know, I'm short. Sue me. Bought the wig yesterday, anybody know the type of cigar she smokes? If its even a brand name. (Uhm...Hi Eric, hello, Army Navy store. *prods*) SG1 BDUs (black) Saturday - will probably do these on "star wars" day. Star Wars Imperial Officer (black) Sand Fem Trooper - Pictures are coming shortly. (You should see what Troy is going to do to my backpack Eric, lmfao, think Hello Kitty!) Colonial Marine - Pulse rifle in progress, I know I know, pictures shortly. Lady Blackhawk - Need my guns still and embroidery work done, but this costume is almost complete. She-Ra - For the honor of Gray-Skull. Queen Gorgo - 300 Queen of the Spartans. I'm going to need lots of...strategically placed tape to keep myself from becoming a show and tell display.
