An RV exploded 630am CST 12/25/2020 next to a main ATT communications hub knocking out internet access for East/Middle Tennessee, Parts of Kentucky, and Alabama. Also knocking out 911/e911 service and firstnet responder networks. This also completely knocked out all ATT cellular service in the Nashville area and any ATT circuits that route to that location and then on down to the main internet gateway router in Atlanta Georgia.

911, hospitals, and banks were the first clients to get services restored, in that order.

Verizon customers were unaffected.

Also worth noting is that several major national hospital companies are headquartered in Nashville, this knocked out their networks as well.
