The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

A great one has passed

Tuesday around 8pm or so my grandmother passed peacefully in her home. I have given her as much dignity as I could and even made sure that last Sunday she watched the church service from our iPad which made her very happy. The downhill slide was very slow and then very sudden. Seeing someone that was able to take care of themselves turn into someone who you ended up having to make sure that they had taken their meds and could not drive anymore.

Shortly after Grandpa ascended it occurred to me what does the good lord do with hunters? The answer came to me as he sends them on safaris in hell to thin the herd of demons so that we here on earth have less demons to deal with ourselves. Doing what they loved in this life in the afterlife above and below. A while later I went on my first mission trip to Guatemala, and my one night there I saw a figure dressed in full marine garb and it looked just like grandpa coming to check and make sure everything was OK.

Two hearts are now one in heaven as they were on earth. Now the kindred spirits have reunited and have fruits of the soul to snack upon as they walk on their journey together

For those of you that do not have me as a friend on Facebook, just posting this for the record. She is where I get the ability to create in part and is the source for my father's creativity and troubleshooting ability.

I will try to hunt a photo of the bear she shot on her 65th birthday that dressed out at 450 or so pounds of meat.

I would add that since March she had been relatively miserable. She had not been able to go to church since then. I had managed in the last few weeks to key up an IPAD and get her to watch the church service via facebook live (I was consulted on some of the setup of that for running it initially as the bugs got ironed out.)

I lived to her as did my father and his sister. I helped her out as much as father did. Built her fires (wood burning heating unit) and made sure she was ok. I had time with her and enjoyed what I had, the loss is not as big for me as I got to say my good byes as it were. Not so much for other family members, those are the ones that will feel it the most.

And I do not feel it as a loss more as a gain as we gained an angel above so to speak.

Regardless thank you for the condolences.
