The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

letter sent to me by my brother in law, and though the FREE information isn't too recent...it's still for public sale

beginning May 2006 a new database will be available to the general public free of charge that displays your personal information (names, addresses, phone numbers, birth dates). (Soc. Sec. is available for a price.) The database is found at

www.zabasearch.com/

type in your name and check...you'll be SHOCKED as I was!
I urge you to forward this email to family and friends. Check to see if your name and information is in their database. If so and you want it removed, send them an e-mail at

info@zabasearch.com

to request it be removed. I do not know how our names are appearing there, but I checked
my own and a few other random ones and they are all in this database! You might want to copy in your States Attorney General. After opting out by email, check back after a few days to make certain your information has been removed. If it has not been removed then file a complaint with your States Attorney General.

Were you able to have your name removed?

I see in their "privacy statement" they claim that there is no way to have your info removed.

I'm wondering if writing to them will only result in their gathering and updating your info (email address).

My thoughts exactly. I'm not touching this with a ten foot keyboard.

I dunno.. Makes it easier to stalk celebrities...;)
You can get actors and directors date of birth / place of birth from IMDb... Although James cameron doesn't get listed cause he wasnt born in the US.

I see what you mean though makes it pretty easy to track someone down. On a lighter note.. Found This pretty interesting..:D

That's... pretty creepy. I'm listed like 6-8 times, my dad a few times, and my grandfather (although his info is partly incorrect).

Pretty scary.

And no, the phone number listed isn't current. ;)

Come on guys, this isn't new... I've been doing skip-tracing (searching for deadbeats) as a 3rd party bill collector for years, and this info has always been easy to find... it's just MUCH easier now. I called Scot ( falken1o8 ) last night... HE'S NEVER GIVEN ME HIS PHONE NUMBER!

Yes but some of us deadbeats don't want to be found!

Oh, did I say that outloud?

It just freaks me out to know all that information is out there available for anyone to retrieve.
Credit Card companies only check about 4 in 10 applications before issuing the cards (credit check aside) and included here is a vast majority of the application data.

I just don't like it :(
