The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Hopefully will get to meet some of you guys next year, I have been a colonial marine on and off since August 1993 when I started at Alien War London.
I have a big interest in WW2 vehicles so that is what has been taking up lots of my spare time, I still have my BDU's and helmet and codpiece, so will make up a new set of body armour .
Look up " Studebaker M29 weasel" I have almost finished a restoration of one so , be fun to put some magnectic USMC markings on it, it's an unusual Ww2 vehicle that very few people know much about so fun to use  :delta:

The Weasel is a cool little vehicle, My group have Vietnam armoured and soft skin vehicles (we have 2 M113 APCs) but we do have an interest in WW2 stuff, the Weasel made it to Vietnam as well, it was used by the French in the 50's and saw limited use by the USMC in the 60's, If you are going to the W&P with it I look forward to seeing it.

Hi Hraham, yep my weasel is a late 1945 M29c , it was with the Norwegian army until 1984 and has been well kept, I did a full reprint and am sorting original steel tracks as it has the Staman rubber replacements ditted( which are excellent on the road and off, but I want to get it to look original, Do you use any of your vehicles for USMC gigs?

It looks good in your pics, I see you have it marked up for 2nd Armour, do you know the 2nd Armoured guys? I know a few of them and have done one of their trips, they have some awesome machinery, the M113 has been mostly phased out of U.S. military use but is still used around the world, it is indeed a lovely vehicle, we use them for Vietnam events, and they are marked up as such, unfortunately the cost of transporting them is pretty steep!

Yep you need a low loader I guess! The weasel can go on a trailer or flatbed as only 10ft 2" long, it's road legal and I have my H licence to drive any tracked vehicle, but at 4 miles per gallon it goes to the pub and back
Yes I have been going to northern France for the last few years with 2nd Armored, but I will miss most of this year again due to film work.
I used to have some original late 60's us Vietnam kit, but sold it about 4 years ago, had a lovely us army helmet with a great painting on the liner, it sold for good money, still have my step dads helicopter helmet too.
I may give Terry a call as not seen him for a few years to see if he will make me some body armour, I should have a little money at the end of this next film :D . I used to have the moulds for the Alien War armour made from the Dietrich stunt harness armour , but it got thrown by mistake, there may still be a few unmade sets with my guys, will ask about.

Not sure about war and peace yet due to work but will let you know
