Ha ha, oh no! It's a real doll! Those things are scary! Well, I suppose you could give him a woman from one of the cultures were they're naturally subserviant to men. Seriously though, they need to work on developing the means to produce oxygen and water on the planet before sending people there so they can start colonization. I honestly don't think they could send him with enough of either to last a lifetime even if he was set up with everything else so it would pretty much be a suicide mission. Sure they could send supplies frequently, but one missed or damaged shipment could be fatal.
