Mods, sorry if this doesn't really go here.

So I had my first drop this weekend, everything went well enough except one thing...the straps.

At the point where the straps snake around the buckles, they kept slipping out. This happened on the upper body and shin armor. I used some safety pins to hold them in place, but is there something I did wrong that caused this? Are there any methods any of you use to keep this from happening?

Like the straps just kept getting too long?

If that is the case, I simply rolled the excess strap I had on mine and used black electrical tape to prevent the strap from letting out slack.

Hope that helps

Some buckles will only hold the material one way. Try re-threading the material in the opposite way to how you have it now (up then under or vice versa). :)

No, the strap material comes un-done...it slips off the buckle connectors.

Reaper, I'll try your suggestion, thanks.

If it keeps doing it then buy some skateboard deck tape (or get some black sandpaper) and stick a strip on the faces the webbing touches :)

I'll chime in and endorse the black electrical tape method as well. First thing I did when I got my armor was test fit it, adjusted the straps so the chest and shin armor fit properly, then rolled the excess lengths of strap up and wrapped them a couple of times with electrical tape.

It's also what I used to get my Gerber MkII sheath locked down onto the strap that connects the shoulder armor to the gunbelt.
