So, might've mentioned I collect sharp things....Here's my little collection of Spydercos
One or two rarer models plus some limited and discontinued ones too.

Thanks!-

About 10 years ago I had an outdoors catalogue come through the door and there were Spyderco Delicas going for 1/3rd list price. I bought 2 as a treat to myself, thinking they'd be rubbish- plastic handle, pocket clip and the silly hole in the blade.

I was so suprised at the quality but that was it for the time- I spent 2 years using it at work without a grumble.....then I read Hannibal and a certain Dr Lecter, a man of impeccable tastes, is listed as holding the Spyderco Harpy and Civilian as his knives of choice....And I read the Spyderco webby- Sal Glesser is a man after my own heart in terms of materials science and his marketing approach- The product speaks for itself: no-one needs to make a silly DVD of fat men chopping up watermelons and car doors to appeal to the mall-ninja crowd, for example.
*coughCold Steelcough*

Things just kinda spiralled from there- I pick them up second hand whenever I see an interesting model.
Rarely I'll treat myself to a new one from Heinnie Hayes to celebrate something big.

Thing is- each one is a little gem of engineering, materials and design- with a purpose. :)

very impressive:) not got any spyderco myself, too expensive for the budget (that being said I do have some Tops knives, ops), got some gerbers, and some other stuff too though, nothing like a sharp pointy object to prick the interest (pun intended) ahahah

Aha, that may stretch Wifely Understanding to breaking point....It's one thing to have a ever growing collection of pointy things, but her having to look at them every day in a revolving, underlit, display case may result in 'costly sanctions' involving my wallet taking a trip with her to the Cath Kidson shop.
