About half an hour ago, two IEDs detonated near or under the spectators stands at the finish line in Boston. So far, three confirmed dead and 20-30 injured. Reports of a third device being found in front of the Mandarin Hotel as well as a possible attack on the JFK library are getting more info as it's brought in. If you're near Boston & can donate blood, they're asking for people to do so.

Currently there is an individual in custody, a Saudi national who was near the scene. An individual at the scene thought he was acting suspiciously, tackled him and turned him over to the police. He's being cooperative with the police, and denying involvement. They are saying it is "too early to consider him a suspect".

They are also saying a third bomb was found unexploded and has been disarmed.

Just heard that Boston's Police Commissioner says they have no suspects in custody. Conspiracy theorists are going batshit insane blaming this on the "tea party's efforts to put the tsa into sports events" and other things.

My thoughts go out to all the victims and relatives, and all the residents of Boston who have now joined the tragic list of targets of terrorism.

As to persons of interest, there will be dozens, just because someone was seen "With a backpack" or "With a parcel", or unfortunately just for "He looked Middle Eastern and was acting shifty". Police will talk to them all, but that's a long way from being any kind of suspect.

Additional info - appears the Westboro Baptist Church have threatened to picket funerals of the bomb victims, which the infamous hacker's group Anonymous have suggested would be a "bad idea".

Westboro versus Anonymous is sort of our real life Aliens Versus Predator. But truth be told, I do not even know what to say about any of this that occurred. Heck I was talking to one of my customers just today, and found out he actually lives there in Boston. Even being there though, he really did not know much more than any of us, he happens to just be closer to it all.

Big explosion a couple hours ago in Texas at a fertilizer plant near Waco. All signs are pointing to accident, but the timing's VERY odd..the anniv. of the end of the Waco siege is tomorrow.

God, please don't start that. It was an explosion following a fire in a fertilizer plant. Fire in a volatile environment tends to do that. Don't go making it anything more than it is, which right now is not being considered more than a really unfortunate accident.

I can understand what people nearby are probably going through with the chance of the second silo going off.. A while back (when I lived in Jersey) there was a big fire next door to a big fuel tank farm, and I lived not too far from it. They'd already evacuated a "safe distance" around it, but we still had to be ready to go at a moments notice just in case it got any closer than it was to the tanks.

That's cute, somebody made a fake Facebook page for them. We did a group project on these frakkers for my Social Deviant Behavior class. They're pretty messed up. They think that my brothers and sisters overseas are getting blown up by IED's because God's mad at them for defending the freedom of gays.
