The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

What would you say to changing it to "Armed Forces of the United Systems"?

I would remove the "Armed Forces of the United States" just to prevent any accusations of falsifying real IDs. I personally like the screaming eagle, but I would recommend using vector art vice a picture of an actual patch. Otherwise looks great.

I luv how it looks now but yes change the back to a vectored image not a patch. and also no rank with birth date just have Date of Birth and then your date under it just like they do now. but if you can do runs of these i would be down for one.

My Military ID doesn't have a Blood Type on it.
Maybe they will in the future.

I do plan to replace the eagle patch image with a vector graphic for sure. Thanks Cosmo I obviously misread the text overlayed on the photo on your image, I'll change it to DOB.

OK - some cool news - I managed to find the Morovia PDF417 Barcode font along with a code generator that can encode up to 800 characters of data into that little block you see on the face of the card below the photo. What this means is that I can actually encode all the personal data that appears on the card into that block and each person can have their own scanner readable id code block on their card, each one unique to the person. I just generated one for myself and I'll post an update for Draft 3 once I manage to get the vector graphics for the screamin' eagle. =P

Here's a sample of the code block I generated for myself:

and here is all the data contained in the block:

Beale, Gwenydd, Moire,F,2139JAN10,A01/TQ1.0.02128E,CM,AD,O3,CAPT,2179JUN06,2181JUN05,1009766248-836,6372219501,O Neg,III

Something about the gold and blue of that border really makes the black "pop". Much as I love the correct black background, it can get lost. Maybe that's why the delta emoticon ( :delta: ) here has a blue background? Having "space command" in it probably helps too, but it really sells the idea that the black represents space. Love it. Was that from Baena's PR manual or does it predate that?

Thanks Chris. I'm looking into the best method of getting them printed. I'll post something in the PX soon.

I would say that the screaming eagle could do with being a bit more transparent to show the text a bit better.
Looking awesome though :)
