The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I've recently (i.e Yesterday) gotten back into After Effects having not used it for about 7-8 years, and made this little test film to get me back into the swing of things.

It's no ILM production by any means but here you go:
(Play in High Quality/720p or the sound doesn't sync up for some reason)

#EDIT: PULSE RIFLE REDO + HELMET CAM EFFECT

#EDIT: Made a Flamethrower vid last night too, feedback much appreaciated :D

Thanks peeps!

I'm still re-learning everything, so the flashes are a bit off. I'm very proud of the smoke though, although it's not that natural in terms of movement. :)

Ah, they are great. I think the flamer one is the most impressive. What software are you using to produce these? Do you have a link. I would not mind trying my hand

Ha cheers for that. I should have been more specific. With past experience looking for software can be annoying as some have the same or very similar titles but different creators. Is it part of adobe or something similar?
