The software will be phpbb. We'll be migrating threads, and all the archive information (saved over the last 6+ years or so) will be archived as well. And filed, stamped, mutilated... no, wait, that's the United States Post Office that does that.

When registration is opened, you will need to create your new account with whatever name you choose. Just NO name poaching. I don't think it needs to be said, but sometimes...

Dom- you seem to be the lone voice for A. Maybe you could shed some light on why you choose that? (Not trying to provoke anything- I'm truly interested).


I for one do not like change, but my vote will tentatively be for B as long as the following conditions are met—


1) I don't get left behind (nearly happened when we jumped from Aliens Archive to here)


2) I can still have my "ONE TOUGH CANUCK" custom title


3) My post count remains the same or has 1000 posts added to the current total


4) When I logon, a wav file in a sexy female voice says "Good morning Sarge."


5) I can have my own secret forum (secret forums are mysterious and fun)


6) I can have a double secret forum within the secret forum that only I have access to (kind of like a VIP room with one chair)

Let me field those questions for you.

1. We mods will do our best to notify everyone if and when the move takes place. There will also be a "we've moved" link on the old board when the move takes place so no one will be left out.

2. Actually I don't know if custom titles can be used on the new board. It's being tested at the moment so I'll ask one of the other mods or Pug 50 to answer that one.

To be honest though I'd much rather lose my custom title in return for extra functionality and the ability to run proper searches on the new board.

Custom titles can be used on the new board. By default they are an admin-implemented feature so will be by request, the same as for ezboard.

Ermm, is anyone still here? I'm a bit late, but I vote B.

I might actually change my username to the Alien(s) related one that I use EVERYWHERE else apart from here (as it was already nicked by some imposter who doesn't even visit this forum).

Pug, I have a ton of experience setting up/tweaking PHPBB2, if you need any help, let me know.

phpBB is very good as I have used them.

I was part of a low grav sniper clan in UT99.

The forum board was a phpBB that I was admin off.

The version is phpBB 2.0.22.

The admin layout is very easy to use and there a lot of options and easy to make threads, change people names and information and change the layout of the board.
