The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Late to party hear but I've been playing the hell out of Devil May Cry 4. Then I borrowed GoW from a bud and am currently all hooked into that.

I'be been playing CoD4 & Uncharted: Drake's Fortune on the PS3 over the last month or two, plus I've just got Guitar Hero III for the PS2 (to go with GH, GH II & GH: Rocks the 80's which I already had), so I'll be rocking out for a month until GTA IV (PS3) arrives.

I'm glad to see this thread alive and kicking again. Currently I am playing COD4 (beat the game and got all 1000 gamer points for it and am either a level 4 or 5 prestige online) and I am also playing Team Fortress 2.

If you lot haven't played either game....what the hell is wrong with you? lol :D

My wife got my CoD2 and 3 for 360.....addicted to them.
Just finished CoD2 on medium.....amazed at how....amazing it is.
CoD3 is next.
Played CoD4 at a convention and that's where it all began.
Will look for this game in the pawn stores......they are loaded with these types of games for cheap.

All on PC. And the Assassin's Creed controls suck major sweaty male genitalia, feels like a cheap console port.

O_O, dawn of war : Soulstorm is out alrdy?  Did not know. Wat r the new races? Any changes to old races? Not sure whther its out yet in my area.

Um currently working my way through Bully for 360. Awful, awful controls. Who puts the reverse view button on the movement thumbstick. Your running away from someone click it accidentally and tyou view flips and you run right at them. Stupid.

Apart from that I play co-op Halo online and Guitar hero.

I would play rock band but it's *still* not been released in the UK yet. :x

Yeah, Soulstorm's been out at least a week... Dark Eldar and Sisters Of Battle are the new races, new flying units thrown in and a few tweaks to the existing units.

Unfortunately it's a bit buggy to be honest, random lock-ups and crashes, on both my three machines and one of my buddies. It's been developed by some external dev house called IronLore though, who I've never heard of...

I gotta say I love having a PS2.

Sure I can't play the uber-cool new games... but I'm paying on average $17 for a used game instead of PS3 costs.

GoW 1 and 2 are on my list.

I also recently played a marathon of Lego:SW 1 and 2. Love it!

Anxiously awaiting Lego Indy and Lego Batman, which they say will be out for Ps2.

Downside is... the stupid AvP game. oy.

Some of us are really crap at FPS games (and most other genres too), so we steer well clear.

Isn't Bully fun?! God it's a junior version of GTA (well same company, etc) and it's just... awesome!

I'm not enjoying the game as much as I hoped I would, mainly due to being crap at rhythm action games, so a lot of the lessons are a chore to do, rather than enjoyable, which is what I play games for.

I've not had the control issues Fraz has, but then I do have a soft touch.

That has to be the absolute BEST quote from the most UNLIKELY source I've ever read! Willie, you my friend, Rock!

Here's a question for the UK lads (lassies), Any of you play(ed) Hellgate London on PC?

I'm still toying with Rock band, if I ever have game time. Still haven't beaten Mass Effect or Neverwinter Nights 2 for that matter.

I really need a new laptop...

Hellgate London?

Yes; and it sucked so hard I took it back to the shop.

Russ, if you're after a laptop, you know you want an M1730... :P

M1730? If that's the "official" gridcase designation for the sentry gun pc... I want something that will run programs made AFTER 1986. :)

What was wrong with HGL that made you want to return it?

Nah, it's the model number of my new laptop... It's fairly good once you rebuild the OS and turn off all the junk bloatware.

To be honest, it just didn't play right, it felt to me like a dumbed down RPG with guns thrown in and that wasn't what I was looking for at the time. The levels also felt very repetetive in terms of layout... That was fine for randomly generated maps for 2D isometric RPGs / dungeon hackers eight years ago, but not these days!

But I am a fussy soul when it comes to gaming, so at least give it a try. There are demos kicking about somewhere.

EVE does look great!

I've not had much experience with on-line gaming except at friends places but I've always been put off them because it seems as soon as you spawn in you get shot or fragged by some little kid who's either cheating, sniping or is on your team!

GRAW-2 came with my new machine and I downloaded the multi-player patch for it, and it crashed my machine to the extent that I had to re-format the C: drive and re-install XP-Pro. Not good!
