The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

He hasn't been online here since the end of June.

Anyone in contact with him?

Russ

*I think* he mentioned something about being really busy in another thread, possibly even away on operations.

I could be wrong.

I'm very very busy. My civilian career demands more than most do. Then the Marines have their requirements too. Between the two, I am stretched so thin that I can't do everything both of them require. My civilian employer has been on my ass so much, they even disciplined me for taking Military Leave. They've been threatening for a long time, and then they finally did it. I had to get the Department of Labor involved, but it's still not resolved. With all of this illegal stuff happening, I basically don't have a life and now, and rarely do anything for myself.

The best way of contacting me is calling my cell, which is usually near me. Second best is emailing me at my gmail account, so I can at least, when I have some downtime (like waiting in line at the post office) read it from my smart phone and reply.

Thanks for popping in! It sucks that your employer is giving you grief like that! Don't they know it's a LAW
that they have to allow you leave for military service?? Jerks. Please take a moment when you have time
to check your PMs. I know some have been trying to get in contact with you. I hope things get easier
for you soon!

I really don't have the time to explain this, so I just won't eat tonight to make up the time. Here goes:

I have 11 packages sitting by my door. Some of these are for members of the Aliens Legacy. I go through the effort of putting items together, and packaging them up, going to the post office to get a quote, and sending them a total... And then these packages sit by my door for months on end. I think it's far too embarrassing to call these people out publicly, so I wouldn't ever do such a thing. It's bad form. Their inability to pay me $8 to $200, or however how much money they agreed to isn't really my business. However these packages take up room, and I don't like sitting on all of this overhead. This money can be put to better use.

One of these packages, that has been sitting around for a year and a half, was for an Aliens Legacy member. I assumed that he'll never pay for it, so I opened it back up and did the inconvenience of re-inventorying the items.

On top of that, Whenever I go to SoCal, I'll go out of my way to stop on base, which is tax free, and buy actual USMC items for board members in a "Gear Run". Such as, khaki shirts, shirt stays, white dress gloves, write in the rain pens and pads, etc. I then in turn will ship these at cost to fellow members. I drove, spent my time, and money on fuel to help gear up people on these forums... When I get home, with their items that I paid for, I then get a shipping quote and send them a total. This should go smoothly, however, I still have a box of unsold merchandise from my last gear run, back in March, of items that was specifically asked for by people here. When I gave them the price of the items that I purchased on their behalf, they then declined to pay. That's a real F.U. When I've done this huge favor of going out of my way for someone.

Aaron, could you post a list of who you have packages ready to ship to?

In this digital age, it does happen that people miss email updates and stuff like that.

People, please check your PMs and emails to see if Aaron has contacted you recently
regarding an order. That way you get your stuff, and he gets the boxes out of his house!

By that same token, please post what Aaron owes you, that way he can verify
that the orders are correct and you get what you're supposed to get.

I don't know how many times my wife has messed up and shipped the wrong box to
the wrong person when she's packing up multiple boxes of items. Nothing says fun
like paying for postage twice.

If you can't pay for your items, let him know ASAP so he can resell them to someone
else and get his money back!
