The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I finished this up a week ago. I tried putting it on ebay and someone (or should I say some assmuch) reported my auction to VERO. So he's still for sale for any serious collectors out there.

This is one of my AvP warrior mask that I converted into my version of the Elder. It is one of a kind. SOOOO much time went into this display piece. I had to change his teeth, burn the scars into the latex 3 times, enagrave his tusks, hand paint each quills with 4 colors, age each dread with 3 colors, paint the dread rings different kinds of metal on each one, sculpt mold and cast the neckring. This proect took about10 times longer than a normal predator. But I think it was well worth it.

That is simply awesome Mel.

I'm interested in doing a Predator costume and have mostly been thinking along the lines of a P1 set up, but that certainly makes me consider other options. I'm not in the market for one at this precise moment but when I am I'd be interested to know if you do commissions as there is no way in Hell I could make something this good myself.

Cheers

Darren

How did you get the clay neckring master so smooth?
Is the head/mask wearable?

Very, badass!

I used wed clay for the neckring (which was a mistake.. took too long) After you smooth it out with a brush and sponge, then clear coat before molding, then spray all those layers of paint and clear again- its super smooth.

It is a display piece only. Why spend all the money just to screw it up by wearing it:P
