greetings all. I am humbled by the nomination to be the first CO of the Aliens Legacy. My vision for the club could be broken down into the following points. 1. Inclusiveness - My goal is to make sure everyone who is interested in the Alien universe are welcome. Those who like to build the props, costume, or just geek out about Alien. The last couple of years, there has been a focus on a certain movie, and an elitism to those who like to costume from the video games, or comics are usually turned away. I would like to end this trend and make sure all who want to participate in our group are welcomed and not shunned away. 2. Promotion - I will make sure the command staff will do whatever we can to promote us throughout the world, via social media, or word of mouth. My goal is to promote the club which hopefully will bring in new members to keep the club going for a long time. 3. Open to suggestions - My goal is not to make the Aliens Legacy a dictatorship where only my (or the Colonial Admin) word is law. I will work with each division to make sure their concerns are heard and appropriate actions are taken to decisions which would effect the entire club. Suggestions to improve the club will always have a place to be heard. I thank you for your time, and look forward to answering any questions you may have. Mike |

Mike I know you and the things you have done for the community. Maybe you can briefly state what events you have done and some of those activities. I ask this so members see how you continue to grow the community. I know that I have personally worked with you multiple times at Dragoncon and at C2E2. Thanks! Greg |

since 2014, i have been tasked with the table at Dragoncon, taking over from Sgt Tony. I have worked with several members each year, coordinating the table sign up and making sure the table runs smoothly. In 2013, along with Ripstick and Timeslip, formed the USS black hawk battalion, which originally covered the states of Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin. Since then, the battalion has grown to include members who reside in Michigan and Ohio. I have attended several conventions in the Chicago area working fan tables and events to promote the Aliens Legacy. (c2e2, wizard world, lake count-i-con. Alien day at the volo auto museum) In 2017, i was the Most valuable marine for my efforts in growing the Aliens Legacy. This year, i was able to secure the Legacy one of the group photoshoots at Dragoncon. |
