The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

LOL
Be prepared to gag at the price!

There's no such thing as a perfect sniper rifle, it's all down to personal preference and circumstances.

I use a spring Tokyo Marui G-Spec, and a spring Warrior L96.
The G-Spec kicks about 330fps, and the L96 closer to 470, but has a harder pull on the bolt and is more cumbersome.

You do know why I suggested it right? Any dedicated Colonial Marine should.

I'm going to suggest because it's the one in the tech manual or based!

Beg my non-gun wisdom!

Cheers

Get a Barret .50 Cal - M82, I think it's called.

I believe it's the weapon a USMC sniper used to achieve the record for longest distance on a sniped shot (over 2,000 yds, IIRC).

Or if you're playing a Brit, consider an L96.

The record was held by GySgt. Hathcock with a M2 at about 2250 yrds. The new record is about 200 yrds farther. Barret has a new rifle that shoots a new round .416 I believe. It can hit a target at 2500 yrds cold shot. (first round hits)

Don't mean for the slight hijack but-

The new record is 2,657yds... and is held by a Canadian.

And yes, the Sniper Rifle in the Tech Manual is based off of the WA2000. 8)

So this is going to be for Airsofting for you Callum?

That make's him a North "American" :-)

Although the best shot on video I've seen was a friend of mine. He took out an Iraqi motar observer with a TOW. He looked through his sight via his camera. Shot was about 2000 yrds. It did end the motar attack.
