Anybody bought one of these yet? ![]() 'these are great fun little rifles but this one is supplied with a much better battery (an 8.4v with a standard mini Tamya connector) so finding a spare battery is not a problem! This uses a basic plastic gearbox but will fire upto 150fps with a 0.12g BB (feels like a lot more power!) This is supplied with both the classic tommy gun magazines, first a standard capacity stick mag (for those who want the military look) and secondly the iconic wind up high capacity drum mag (for those that want the Gangster look!)' Only cheap all plastic plinkers I think, but legal to buy for over 18's not UKARA registered. Going for around £45/50. Or are they just rubbish and not worth it? |

Pondered it for my next project, as I do need a working motor, but the plastic body put me off. |

looks fun for a plinker but you would be laughed of the field with those FPS. Is it just me or does it look a little small to anyone? |

Thinking of getting one, just for a cheap firing PR build - not interested in skirmishing anyway. Do you think they maybe a little on the small size? Haven't seen that mentioned in the pretty good reviews it's got. http://www.airsoftworld.net/two-tone-tompson.html Any other problems you might think it has for use in a PR? |

It looks the right size in their pic must be the angle. I think the plastic body would put me off. if you want to build a nonfiring pr I'm pretty sure there is a us based shop that sells broken cyma thompson for about $80.00 By the way people can correct if i am wrong but making a PR with out a VCRA defense would be considered constructing a RIF and there for a no no. |

Don't really want to get into the whole RIF thing, but if a PR is a RIF, then wouldn't the new HCG PR be illegal to buy without a defense? Anyway, yep those broken thompsons would be really cool, but not sure how much the postage to the UK would be (if they do) and not sure they do them two-tone for export (to us non VCRA exempt) |

if shipped in two lots there is no problem it's just putting it back together that's the problem. |

Wouldn't really be a cheap alternative then though. Don't think the site you linked delivers to UK anway. |

if you can work around it, or if anyone else is interested, kapowwe sell broken Thompsons for $40 dollars. I bought 2 of them and picked them up at Dragon con, and all that was wrong with them is that one of the battery pins had backed out of the connector! result In fact, if anyone does get one, give me a shout. i could do with another one... |

If you got to ebay.com rather than .co.uk, and search thompson in airsoft, theres a plethora of items! I sure one of the sellers would be willing to ship to the UK. Still have to convince to customs man youre eligable to buy though. Or ask the seller to take a can of spray paint to it! |
