Anybody see these? Looks like they are the longer mag. Not sure if they will work in a Marui. Maybe if you hack the length down to 95 rounds.... it will fit in an M41A |

I dont think thats likely to work. Midcaps have a spring that winds its way around a channel inside the mag. Normally the channel takes up the full space inside the mag; hacking it down would more than likely destroy it. Youd probably be better off finding a way to block the spring off after youve put 95 rounds in. |

I was thinking of shortening the channel mid way and taking a little of the spring out. They're not that expensive, might give it a whack. I made long mag bottoms awhile ago, and they weren't that deep. |

The problem is that the mags channels arent linear. The channel goes down from the feed nozzle, curves back up at the bottom and back down at the rear. (BTW, im basing this on my own experience of other midcaps). Shortening the overall length of the mag would cut the channel in at least 3 places. Youd end up (if you could repair it) with a mag with a 50ish round capacity, tops. |

I've shortened mags it's not tough and they function just fine. Provided they are plastic mags. You have to cut a section out of the middle and then graft the bottom onto the now shortened top section. I use mathalyne chloride to glue the ABS together for a nice sturdy 'weld'. I've only done it with those cheapo ABS mags, if those king arms mags are metal or metal clad I'm not so sure how well it'll work. M |

The ones that come with the Cyma M1A1 they can be had for $15 -$20. They have this weird jog at the top of the mag for some reason, probably for stability, but it makes it tough to insert sometimes. I've found with some judicious sanding and filing here and there you can make those mgs slide in and out smooth as silk. I'm going to have to take some pix arent I...  M |
