Hi Marines What blank firing weapons would you use for a re-enactment of the Alien battle ? i have a contact who hires real blank firing weapons from M16's to WW2 Grand & German machine guns 30 Cal and 50 Cal as well ? if you could use a Blank firing firearm what would you guys use ? thanks |

Thompson M1A1, if I could place a PR shell around it. As a stock rife either the L85 (it was used in the Sulaco weapons racks) or something like this G36:

If we could, it'd be an M1A1 with a Remington 870 for Pulse Rifles, MG42 for SmartGuns and an Ithaca 37, VP70 or a S&W pistol for the individual variants. However, the operative word is 'could'.... The UK Colonial Marines' rules & regs state that we don't carry blank-firing weapons on Drops. Another added problem is that the heat of the weapons discharging would likely melt the shrouds and furnishings of the Pulse Rifles. We'd need all-metal furnishings, including shrouds. |
