The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Anyone....

Does anyone know a way to take the G&P Counter and rig it so it counts down when pulling the trigger and not firing airsoft BB's.

It is annoying to have a counter that only works when shooting the airsoft.

My understanding is that th eG&P counter works off of a light gate which detects BB going by through a hole in the inner barrel. Thus, the board logic is set up to advance the counter by minus 1 when 1 BB is detected flying out the barrel. I don't know how you would change the algorithm soldered on a board to take a trigger pull as input rather than a signal from the light gate. I would think you would have to replace the entire circuit board, including the LED, by a custom board to take a trigger pull contact as input to advance a counter. The whole algorithm such as reset to 195 when magazine is re-inserted, advancing counter by -1 for each input signal detected, then minimum at 00 must all be soldered onto the board. It can be done, and I believe it may have already been done by someone (Google on Hyperdyne Labs). The solution won't be cheap would be my guess.

Try here... It's a great kit if you're not using it as an airsoft

The full ReplicantFX kit is what I added to my PR. I love it. I think it's the best system out there for the price. I should have pics soon of my PR to post.

Fellow Marines....I say SEMPER FI!!

Just wanted to thank you guys for the info. I have already contacted Timothy @ ReplicantFx and he is actually working on a new and improved module.... I have included his reply to me, at the bottom, which also has info for those of us with resin Motion Trackers....

Dave,The new pulse rifle modules will be available soon. I am finishing up the new FX Orian Chip set coding, which the new PR counter will run on. This new chip design is much more powerful then the previous version and will bring a great deal to custom props. I will add you to my release e-mail list to let you know when it is available. As for the motion tracker. I have created a module for it, which used LEDs as the signals. Unfortunately, a full screen was not possible at the time. I hope to remedy this in the near future (It is on the drawing board). Thanks,Tim

I am familiar with the MT one.. It sounds great, but have not been able to come up with a way to mount all the LEDs in the screen.. Tim is great to work with and this spring I will start on the MT again.
