The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

Post subject: Airsoft PR kits out of stock everywhere?

I'm considering dropping a wad and getting a G&P PR kit... and if I can purchase the kit pre-assembled then all the better, but everywhere I've looked online they're out of stock (that will ship domestically - I don't want to deal with customs on something like this). Are the kits no longer in production, or is this just a fluke?

I was going to post the links I have for the Charter.....but they are out.

I think there is one feePay seller who has them for about $400, but Mike (airborne) had trouble with them.

Parksabers sells them completed, but the price is a little jacked up for construction.

I'd go with AEX.

They can build one for you.

Though I talked to the owner a few weeks ago, and he

said that he had to reject a bunch of kits lately.

(Fit problems)

Thanks, guys. And I appreciate the heads-up, Tony. :)

Fit, problems, eh? That might explain the general lack of availability.

AEX is one of my considerations, actually. Has anyone ever dealt with Boom Arms? Their pricing for a complete kit is less than other dealers... any particular reason why?

I've ony purchased from boomarms through ebay, but I have for quite a few things from them there, and it was all great. A plus plus as Wierd Al would say.

I ordered mine from MiM:

http://www.monstersinmotion.com/catalog/index.php

But it still took about 3 months before they had any stock.

I think this is the link, correct me if I'm wrong specopsdet1. ...They're a wee bit pricey for a complete kit (IMO).

I've considered MiM, but their stilted history with PR models is what kept me away. "We have them... no, sorry not yet. We'll have them soon... no, sorry try back in 3 to 6 months... You can place your order and we'll contact you when it becomes a reality," Of course I'm basing this on experiences I had a few years ago, but it just left a bad taste in my mouth.

And thanks, Noeland. :) Good to hear you've had positive experiences with Boom Arms. That helps. :)

Evike is known as a kind of "hack store" in LA.

They deal with a lot of the chinese clone crap.

AEX is more of the cadillac store.

I'm assuming that all built PRs come with the federally mandated orange tip. Yes?

Intersting... AEX no longer lists the PR on their site. I've sent them an e-mail inquiring about this.

OK, here's AEX's response to my query about the sudden disappearance of the PR from their site:

    "Hello Mike,

The Pulse rifle is currently not available. As soon as it comes back in stock we will post it on our website. Thank you!

    Regards,
    Airsoft Extreme Sales
    "

So it appears to be a temporary issue.

Thanks specopsdet1, I'll check out the listing on ebay.

I got to speak with Park Sabers again in Dallas yesterday.
His last kit sold and his supplier is not making anymore.
He also cannot find any from the other suppliers online.

Suggestion....if you can nab a get....get it now!!

Thanks, Tony.

I've been keeping a weather eye on ebay, and your discussion is further indication that this will be one of the best places of procurement. ...Which is something I've been thinking more and more over the past week.

Post subject: P/R Kits on sale Now
PostPosted: Sat Mar 15, 2008 10:11 pm

Just so you guys know. Kits been on sale now for 6 months, I posted the build here, and have since used mine on loads of skermish days.
BTW
Took it down to Wolf Armouries today and it makes the GP one look a bit toyish (There words not mine), Not trying to be big headed but if your willing to do a little work and go without a counter (for now) you could do a lot worse. if anyone wants any build, final pics just pm me.
Have a better one
Mamas

I was at Evike on Saturday, and they had a PR in a case.

Not sure on AEX, I'll talk to those guys this Saturday at a game.

They have direct contacts with G+P.

I was able to get one from Wolf Armories in the UK. They seemed to have them in stock last time I checked out the website.

*Update* ah crap they are out now.

http://www.wolfarmouries.co.uk/airsoft/ ... t&id=GP132

You may want to e-mail them. They gave me fairly good service although calling them is MUCH faster than waiting for an e-mail back.
