Just about to start putting together my PR but while trying to take take off the barrel, took off the screws but it still wont come off. Looking at Rooks is helpful but for the TM.

I tried it earlier but without look. Must have just been a dodgy part is it feels like is too smooth to get a grip with any tool to loosen it. I'll give it a try again tomorrow, last resort drill he he

That sounds to me like the hex head bolt in the TM version.

Can you confirm that is the one you're having problems with?

Yup, its hex bolt. I've tried various allen keys but it seems like its just too smooth for the key to get a grip on. Am half tempted to drill it out tbh.

I know the feeling.. It took the smallest wrench in my set.

Maybe you're using the wrong set; imperial instead of metric, or vice versa?

I thought it might be the wrong set at first, i have a few dozen here ranging all sizes. There are a couple which feel like they will grip on for a second and will then slip as if there is nothing to grip onto.

Went and bought a new set, still no luck. Well guess it will be drilled out tomorrow, i'll post how i get on.

Well, after attempting many more times without luck, I decided to take the dremel to it. After a good while I had no joy with it as the outer shell of the barrel is strong!

Out came the big drill and i made a whack at it. After a few mins of solid drilling it cut straight down and the barrel came off. Only problem was a small nick on the top of the brass barrel on the outside but luckily after a test firing it didnt affect the inside or the bb's.

So, last resort drilling does work

Picts of the problem always help.

you can always replace the inner barrel too.

I missed this one. I ended up drilling the hex out. I think it had thread lock on it, and I stripped it out.

Cheers for the replies everyone. I forgot to post that once i found the right drill bit, it came out and the barrel slid off. Waiting on final two pieces then i'll post a few pics
