The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

In big letters:

"GUN, BOMB, ANTHRAX, BOOM, KILL, RIFLE, PISTOL, KNIFE, DEATH, KILL, KILL, KILL. - KEVIN BURTON"

Canadian customs love seeing that!

In a word... no.

The airsoft parts qualify as a replica firearm- which is 100% banned for import.

It doesn't matter if it is a complete Thompson or just parts, the upper and lower receivers are illegal.

Unless the receiver/frame is made of clear plastic it will be seized and destroyed. The person who is to receive it could face a fine or even jail time if it is not their first offence.

There is nothing you could put on a customs form that would allow it to go through. Words like "non-firing", "replica", or especially "airsoft" will set off all the sirens in the customs department.

Your only silm chance is to send it in pieces and use a description other than airsoft parts- however doing so and getting caught would result in a stiffer penalty than labelling it as what it actually is (this is NOT recommended).

You could try labelling it as a "paintball marker"- but they will most likely inspect it anyway (especially if the box is rather large) and seize it.

In 2006 I was caught trying to import a spring airsoft Thompson (broken down to fit in a smaller box). I received a letter from the Prohibited Importations Unit stating that I had attempted to import "components for a replica firearm".

I had the option to request a trial, or allow the Thompson to be destroyed. Shipping it back to it's point of origin required a "Prohibited Devices Export Permit" as the item was already within the borders of Canada. These are only provided to someone with a business licence, and you must use a Canada Customs approved carrier. Needless to say option 3 was no option at all.

My advice- don't do it.
