The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I'm hoping this is the start of a trend..that is some of the cooler Posideon anime/manga style guns being mass produced.

I've never seen this specific anime/manga or weapon, but I too would enjoy if they started to make those fictionnal replicas - there's badass weapons that could sudennly be available.

I know videogames weapon replicas also start to be somewhat mainstream, with Halo guns starting collector's replicas.

On another hand, where's the fun of making your prop when everyone can get one at the local wallmart?

Still, I agree it would be just cool to have all those fancy weapons somewhat available.

(like its going to happen in Canada... )

It begs the question if something like this would be considered an RIF as it does not closely resemble a modern firearm.

The gray area is the fact that it uses modern firearm components.

No grey area in UK law. I think it basically says that if it can be mistaken for a real firearm by a member of the public with no specific firearms knowledge, then it's a RIF.

I want one! :)

Kapowie has them as well.

http://www.kapowwe.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=PROD&Product_Code=jg-thunder-maul-ika-zuchi&Category_Code=Latest-Airsoft-Guns&Store_Code=R

I have Zero experience with Evike so I cant speak to their reliability as a vendor, but I do use Kapowie all the time and have never had a problem with them.

The original of this gun is based on a Poseidon gun, http://www.poseidon.co.jp/2F/2f.html

If your Japanese is as rusty as mine :P you might have a little trouble navigating, but really all you need to do is find a link and click on it, mostly the gallery links, especially the 'out of print' galleries.

I would very much like to see a commercial version of this gun.

In my case it's not so much a problem about RIFs but the fact that it's airsoft and I have zero interest in joining an airsoft club just to own a toy gun to hang on the wall.
