The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

'Hero' in as much as having an airsoft M1A1 and airsoft 870, rather than the G&P 'fake' GL. :)

Got this much so far:

Image

along with an M1A1 Thompson in my existing PR, which will be stripped down so I can use the Tommy gun in the new one.

As I missed getting a Maruzen 870 recently, thought I'd post in here in the hope that someone else has one/knows of one going 'spare'. :)

Parts wanted:

870 shottie, (got one on the way now :D )
Metal stock (got one on the way)
Metal (alum.) shrouds, from either MAA or whoever gets them made first.
Working counter display
Sound/light system (may leave this off list, as needs more work to get good volume)

Thanks for reading/listening. :D

There's no rush for it, so just pop around when you're in the area one weekend. :)

Forgot one part I need; a front GL block.

So my wants list is now down to:

Front GL Block (Phil S type preferred)
Shrouds (aluminium)
Metal stock (on route/local)

Then to get someone else to put it all together so it actually fits/works.

Oh, and someone else to paint and weather it too. 8)

Got a list from Phil of what he can supply, so will wait to see what happens with the shrouds before deciding which bits to buy from him. :)

Steve, Is your Hero going to be light/sound or firing?

I mean I have a G&P kit that fires, do I need another or should I make it light/sound.?

I was only planning on getting the light & sound stuff in it (still awaiting delivery on that), but not having the bb gun or M870 fully 'working' as such, just the 870 able to rack shells through it and the trigger, safety, etc. on the M1 A1.

It could all depend on what shrouds I end up with, as they will determine what batteries and stuff I can fit inside. :)

I wasn't in a panic, as I'm not going to be needing it for ages yet.

I got a card ftom the Royal Mail today, saying there's a parcel for me at their depot, so that may be it.

I'll let you know when it arrives anyway. :)

Matsuo Aluminium-Dust Resin shrouds. 8)

The postal service between Matt and me managed to lose the first shrouds he sent to me.

Now all I need is a couple of little bits from Phil and then get finances back on track after D*Con to get the thing put together. :D

So looking at early next year at this rate.

Hey Steve,

Good work!! I'm going to be doing the same as you... build the G&P kit as I have it already but collect the parts slowly for a Hero build. Are you going to be putting up pictures of progress on your site like the G&P build??? You make the best instructions ever!! :D

Good luck with it.

Martin
