The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

yep thats right martin, just started that up a couple days ago. Hopefully get some prop commission work out of it and see what kind of scene is out there for costumes. Where are you at with your project? is it a Matrix?

Thanks Stimpy!
I had parts of this thing all over the house and shed. Did the build in two days, before i started losing stuff.
One thing i learned is to not paint the barrel unless its seriously durable paint.
Getting it back in with the triangle and vent ect trashes the paint. ended up scratching al the pint off the barrel with my thumbnail. Learned a lot about this rifle...

LOL, was gonna say. I was getting a little confused there.

But to answer your question, I have a Tan coloured Snow Wolf PR. I have no plans to mod, or repaint it at present. However, I've got one of those recast stunt PR's from Yorkshire props on order, which I'll be painting up in the near future.

I think the biggest draw to the snow wolf is how much you can beat on it. I'm sure someday they'll be collectors items and sell for 700 on ebay but for now, they're extremely durable no other Pulse rifles props are as affordable and hard wearing.

The biggest drawback is that they look entirely made of plastic, especially the spas cage and inaccurate shotgun shell.
I've been storing it on its side on a bookshelf and its been giving it good weathering. I do wish I had done even more alternating coats of silver and clear because the shininess of the silver is already wearing thin. I'm now going to be storing it on its counter side to see how that wears down. Maybe hit it with a matt clearcoat once its to a good point of wear. Here are some pics.

The shrouds being plastic don’t really bother me much, as many combat firearms receivers and other parts are made of polymers ofer the past 20 or so years. It’s most likely the way of the future.

Yeah Wamhammer, I've dropped this thing hard multiple times. Got hammered and beat the hell out of it. Not even close to cracking it.
