My AK gearbox doesn't cycle right. sometimes it start cycle from feeding nozzle all the way retracted back, then end with the nozzle all the way retracted back again.
Whereas the correct cycle should have feeding nozzle all the way pushed forward as the starting point, and ending with the nozzle all the way forward again.
What could contribute to the problem? I did disassemble the gearbox a few times.
Are you cycling it in full auto or semi? If its in auto, the motor is going to stop it where it stopped getting current; as opposed semi, to semi where the selector position in-semi puts a single tooth “gear” the obstructs the sector gear from releasing itself for the next shot until the trigger is pulled again.
Is the tappet plate and spring good? Also I could imagine nozzle/cylinder head mating being too tight could give you a headache as well.
