Stimpy, do you wanna detail the snag please?
Reckon it'll be really interesting to see if others have had similar issues (& possibly cracked em).

I modified mine pretty heavy.

The drawback is to get it as flat as it should be, you have to delete the stock's locking mechanism. You will need to figure out another way to hold the stock in place if you want to keep the 'adjustable' function. (I was outfitting these shrouds to fit the HCG thompson, so I didn't care about deleting the stock lock)

I swapped stocks for a sd studios stock and done the stock release button underneath mod. While the pr was stripped i went about rounding off the rear of the shroud which i used pvc pipe. Filled and smoothed it off nice with filler. When i went to test fit the shroud the stock button mod is on the outside of the shroud further towards the back of the pr.
After looking at screen used and hcg pr's ect it became apparent the shroud on the snow wolf is shorter at the rear. So i had to extend my shroud an thats as far as i got. I decided to build my armour instead!
Gonna get back at my pr as its pretty much done i just lost a bit of interest after that!

I grafted a revised rear shroud via 3d print way back in 2005.

Could offer the files on shapeways.

Was recommended to look at Flashforge Inventor.

I'm used to commercial 40k+ machines, but these look like they can do the job.

Single Extruder machines won't work for me.

i order a Creality3D CR - 10 3D Desktop DIY Printer for the money it seems to be good enough for my needs. you had a chance to put your file up?

Waking this thread up: does anyone have links to the 3d files for this mod?

Unfortunately i dont have a 3d file. As i commented on here when the project was just started nearly a year ago i thought i would show the now finished shroud.
I went down the same route as bigbisont and used styrene sheet an pvc pipe. Glued and screwed together then used a skim of filler on top.

As you can see in this pic where the shroud has been extended to a more accurate length and to allow for the stock lock button to be placed further back and underneath.
