I game my pulse rifle, and there were a few niggles that made it harder to use than I would have liked.

I modeled up some parts in 123d and 3d printed them.

Firstly was a clip to attach the mag to the base unit. I based the design on a picture I'd seen of someone else that had made a similar one. It took several revisions to get it right!

The second was an extension to the slot that the mag feeds into to make inserting the mag easier. I intend making an improvement to this to make it smoother and even easier by tapering the slot and making it more open at the bottom.

That extra guide would be great for those fiddly mag changes. Great job!

Would you consider sharing the files for these or maybe offering them? I actually use mine to play airsoft also and reloading under fire is interesting to say the least!

Just a little update on this. I came up with a V2 version of the slot extension (which is the one that everyone has subsequently bought from me) which improves reloading even further by having a tapered entry slot.

I have also modified five KA midcap mags (using very helpful advice from this forum), and in the process, modelled and printed some simple joiners/inserts to provide a tight friction fit and allow a super strong join of the two halves of the shortened mag.

Here are some photos.
