| Post subject: | Removing Orange Tips From Matrix |
Has anyone removed the orange barrel tips? Metal barrel orange tip is secured with metal pins (two of them). Shotgun orange ring just spins on top of fixed barrel/battery flap. Removal not looking as easy as I have hoped. Perhaps it's just easier to mask off and spray flat black or flat dark gray. Surprised there were no suggestions on YouTube. Thoughts or suggestions??? |

For mine, the orange tips were caps that snapped off when pried with a screwdriver. Sometimes they are glued on, you can use acetone to remove the glue, but be careful as too much will damage the plastic. Another option: cut the ring laterally with a dremel or saw to split it and remove. |

I heated mine in boiling water and then it was relatively easy to pry off. |
