SO evike.com had a big sale on stuff and I bought a new tracer unit.
I thought I ordered the right one but I sent a note to confirm.
Here is what I wrote on the order.
I have a standard TM M4A1 in which the suppressor tightens while turning clockwise with the weapon pointed away.
Please confirm that i have selected the correct threads for the tracer.

They are shipping the one I ordered which was wrong. Is this my fault?

Also, is there an easy way to remember -/+ cw/ccw?

You need a CCW threaded one. Most Airsoft is 14x1 CCW. Link to what you ordered/are getting?

Normal clockwise thread is lefty loosey, righty tighty, when looking down at the thing rather than from behind.

With the barrel pointing up, if the thread slopes up to the right its a Right Hand thread, if it slopes up to the left then it's a left hand thread.
Now, the CW/CCW description comes from how the thread is tightened. So if you have a Right Hand thread, you will need a CCW as you have to tighten the thread by rotating the attachment CCW. :)
Hope that helps

I still don't get it. I might be thread challenged:(

Evike should know that a standard TM M4A1 has a -ve thread. Also your italic description does correctly identify a -ve(CCW) thread (albeit in a roundabout fashion).

OK, so if I get an adapter. Do I buy a pos to neg or neg to pos?

It's like a surrealistic nightmare.
My gun is neg but the tracer is pos.

Keep it together, don't lose the thread.
