FAQ: WHERE TO BUY AIRSOFT GUNS & RELATED EQUIPMENT

I do not necessarily condone or recommend any of the listed retailers. The listing criteria is that they've been in business longer than 2 years, have an internet based "store" and have a mostly positive feedback from buyers.

I would prefer that if you supply dealer info you do it for companies that you have personally dealt with, or have friends/associates who have done so. Let's keep our fellow Marines from getting ripped off.

Prices may vary greatly from seller to seller and country to country. Do the research and shop around. You may find items cheaper in a foreign country, but you will usually pay a higher shipping charge AND you will be out of luck for getting repair/service on the item if it breaks. Keep that in mind when shopping for the "cheapest price."

Of course the link for Canada doesn't work.

If I may add some for my fellow Canadians:

M1 Toys Co.

Airsoft-World.com

007Airsoft

And the link to Xtreme Precision:
Xtreme Precision Airsoft

I cannot vouch for any of these dealers. I have not purchased any products from them. Prices are usually very expensive compaired to American and especially Far East dealers, but the products are already in country.

To give you an example a Tokyo Marui M1A1 runs upwards of $600 Canadian.
This is due to the Canadian shop having to pay Duty fees, brokerage fees, and the proper importation licenses (they need to make a profit on top of all that as well).

Overseas dealers would be much cheaper but I would only use them if I was purchasing a single pistol. The box for a pistol is small enough not to arouse the attention of customs. I would instruct the dealer to put "sporting goods" on the customs form (which is not a lie). But again, a little luck has to be on your side as well.

Good luck Canucks!

Sources updated. I basically just went through my mountains of 'favorites' so apologies for the dead APEC, er, Xtreme Precision link. ;)

In the US, you should add www.gunkulture.com. Elias is good people, a former team mate, and an excellent airsmith.

Sorry, don't have any sources for the UK, but I will say that everyone should avoid UNCompany in Hong Kong at all costs. Their workmanship is sub-par, and they use TNT as a shipping service. Unknown to the buyer, once TNT has delivered the packages, two to three months later, they will slap you with a bill for around US$55 for each package as a "US Customs Duty Fee". It's f'ing extortion! Avoid at all costs.

Inquire with any out of country airsoft sellers what kind of shipping service they use. You're probably fine if they use regular shipping or FEDEX/UPS. TNT on the otherhand has boarderline fraudulent policies.

www.depot53.com/ is a reliable retailer as well. They're local in the Dallas area, so I just go to the warehouse to pick up my orders. Very stand-up guys, they don't have a storefront but they'll let you check out anything they have in stock that you're interested in.

Edit- I knew I shouldn't have posted right before going to sleep. Typos galore.

Added a link to Wolf Armouries in the UK, which has a store front and seems to have a good reputation.

They're fine. Airsoft Global would be my fave though despite their shipping being a little pricey.

I'm looking to start my build probably in January. Frankly the info is a bit overhwelming, I have built a lot of prop guns but not many airsofts, other than cheap C96 Mausers.

A lot of the links listed here are dead, are there any current links, or is this the "master" list?

There's always the Airsoft Reenactors Group - Resource List ...it's the definitive guide for airsoft, militaria and reenacting gear.

If you PM me your email, I can send you a copy. It's currently 6 pages long. Alternatively you can send an email to airsoftreenactorsgroup at gmail dot com and ask for a copy, but the response time will be longer.

hello, guys, I bought my M41A Pulse Rifle from Evike.com and I think I got the first one of the new restocked items for this month. I payed for it the 12th of may 2012. and it arrived this past Wensday, just intime for Tex-Con herein San Antonio,Tx. I went as a Marine, and I was the only one there to show support for the series. SO, I kept up the Corps in San Antonio,Tx . I was dissaponted at the turn out of people that support everything Aliens here. If you live here in San Antonio,tx drop me a line and we can confer about weapons and uniforms and gear. just send me email, here or out side of the forum.
