HO MY! Those are great pic's MAA. I'm foaming at the mouth. The last image displays what I think is a shoulder mounted rocket launcher. Is this an AS weapon? If so, how does it work. This whole AS hobby is getting out of hand, out of control and quite possibly going to put me outta the house. ![]() I can't believe all the cool shit that they have. Claymore mines, Mosquito Mine traps, a smorgasbord of grenades, guns and accessories. Did I miss anything? ![]() The NiGhTs Could get very cold and loanly ![]() TiGeR Edited by: at: 12/27/03 12:07 pm |

Yes Tiger -- Those are simulated RPG 7 reockets. The shell comes off, and you fire them on your shoulder. They are like your BB shower. "We few, we happy few, we band of brothers...For he today that sheds his blood with me shall be my brother." |

The M-18 mine I believe is a sensor unit, where someone comes along and trip its built-in alarm. There is something similar with a single/double BB shower that blows out BBs when tripped (haven't seen one in person). The M-18 was featured in a detail article Arnie's about 1 month ago (Check back pages, just leads to WAR 4's site. Search for WAR 4 Toys on the net). I know a ton of guys in the US would probably love to have that M-18, even if it's static just for collection purposes (not even for AS). I have a blue color practice set; this one is OD!The only thing about this kit is that it doesn't have the clacker with it. Just trip wires. You guys can get it and I'll have the clacker made in fiberglass. ![]() I'm pretty sure someone in the US will import that RPG. Since it isn't a rifle -- it pobably doesn't need to have red/pink painted nose (easily done). Not sure how much they are either. The same company in Japan makes a WWII panzerschreck version as well. MAA: Can you provide any details to the Claymore mines, i.e., are they on a limited "Timed" alarm and how does it sound? It would be really cool if they just made an explosion sound, but I get the feeling its more like a body alarm (screamer). The other item's I was wondering about is the Mosquito shower traps. I noticed that it takes a fair amount of pressure on the firing pin and was wondering if the traps had some type of cocking mechanism with a hammer. And of course, lastly.... How on earth can I obtain one of the RPG's without getting the FED's on my ass? If they keep making them I will be homeless... TiGeR |

You must order it from WAR 4 I believe Matt. If no luck, you can pay me and I will pack it up for you and send it to ya. Matt! It appears that AirsoftAtlanta.com located in the states has the Claymores in stock. Just check under Custom Parts/Upgrade parts link and then select J&T, Guarder link. Now I'll I need to do is locate a RPG statewide.. Just look at this baby... The Devil made me do it guys... "Yeah Right" After seeing that image of the Claymore I could not hold back the urge. Just as I suspected, the mines employ the use of a body type screamer alarm. The alarm is activated/reset by removing/replacing a small magnet mounted on top of the mine. It is here that you tie the trip wire/string. Since the magnet will go flying off the mine when someone trips the wire, you might want to connect a bright colored piece of material to the magnet to quickly locate it. The only other option is to turn off the alarm by unscrewing/removing the back plate and turn the alarm unit off at the source. Since this was kinda awkward, I decided to use Velcro to mount the internal alarm. Doing this will allow the user to keep the back plate off the unit when in use. Also located an "Original" carrying bag for the M18A1 Claymore Antipersonnel Mines on eBay. It would appear that they are easy to obtain for only $10.99. I was checking the prices on the RPG Launcher and damn near fainted at the asking cost of just under $1000.00. As much as I would like to have one, I'd rather spend that kind of money on 2-3 more AS guns (:D ). ROCK ON! Geese Tiger! I better not show you any more images, incluing good looking Hong Kong girls! With those M-18s -- you're primed for VN re-enactment as well. (Your wife's gonna kill me:lol: ) May be you should think about getting a M16A VN, or XM-177 (you can build these), or a TOP M60 SEAL Shortie, and a set of ARVN Marine Tiger Stripes. But seriously -- I hope that you make use of your AS, by getting out and skirmishing. That is if you haven't already been ... ![]() "We few, we happy few, we band of brothers...For he today that sheds his blood with me shall be my brother." |

Hi MAA: Don’t worry; it’s not your fault (Chuckling). I still need to pay off all this stuff. Wish I could say I was rich, but that’s sure not the case. With all my cool stuff it might seem that way to others, but having a low monthly rent is a luxury I have. I would have been better off staying young, since the toys I liked then were much, much cheaper. Once my friends saw my collection and visited our local AS candy store they were hooked, line and sinker.. ![]() As far as shooting is concerned, we have have only performed some target practicing. With the Holidays and bad weather, this last month was spent in doors mostly. I consider myself fortunate, because my Father owns a very nice cabin with 15 acres of land in a heavily wooded area near Yosemite National Park. It’s going to be the perfect arena for us. Not only does his land have plenty of wooded terrain, but also some awesome volcanic rock formations that will be ideal for setting up mock bunkers and such. It’s funny you should mention the M16 VN, my eye has been on that beauty also, but she is going to have to wait until I get my plastic card paid off. I promise to post some pic’s of the gang once we finally get dirty and knock out a few eyes and teeth.. ![]() PS........ Thanks again for your pic's... They were very inspirational. ![]() TiGeR |

Here's an idea. Since you have two of them (M-18s) -- throw one of them on the big auction site and see what happens. Can't guarantee it, but once the militaria heads see that OD set with the bag, my guess is that they will go ape over it and try to out bid others to get it ... (make sure you don't give away the source in your descx or the game would be up and they will go directly there). I really don't think many collectors know about these yet -- just solid metal Airsoft heads like us ... ![]() "We few, we happy few, we band of brothers...For he today that sheds his blood with me shall be my brother." |
