The discussion of the Alien series of films and the props used in them is the aim, but if it's got Big Bugs and Big Guns, then they are welcome too!

I really want to load those shells with a slug of some sort!

I wonder how it would handle grenade replicas?

I just picked up the pistol grip version of this. Its pretty awesome, but can't handle SD Studio grenades. The opening on the underside is too narrow to feed into the tube. I suspect this was on purpose to avoid clowns loading real ammo into it.

I havent checked if you could feed one grenade at a time through the chamber though. Also have not tested it on a spat grenade. I suspect it will rip the resin lip/ridge apart before it functioned, but Spats grenades are a bit smaller than the SD studios ones. I'll update after I play around more.

Did you ever get to try out the Spat grenades in it?

I have not, but perhaps soon. I am virtually certain the extractor will just tear off the resin "lip" of the grenade though.

I gave my dad a 'homework assignment' last time I was up to visit the fam (He has a lathe in his shop, I do not). I left him with a tube of solid aluminum, a Spat grenade, and a shotgun shell that is designed for the CAM870. I asked him to see if he could produce something that had the rear end of the shell but the design of the grenade. He just got the lathe for Xmas from me and my bro, so he is still learning the subtleties and there is no ETA on it. I hope he figures it out though.

I got some made for airsoft so I bet they fit. They are smaller and was made many years ago.

Thanks!
